Inquiry & Project Based Learning

Through a challenging inquiry-based curriculum, Foothills students explore their ideas and develop curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.

Foothills students learn how to think for themselves and problem solve through inquiry (asking purposeful questions) and Project Based Learning or PBL (designing projects to solve real-world problems).

At the core of PBL units, student learning is focused on mastery of academic content and skill development. But perhaps more importantly, PBL projects lead to authentic, enjoyable learning experiences that stick with kids long after they're over, helping our students realize their own power as great thinkers.
