A Private, Independent PreK-9th Grade school in downtown Boise, Idaho.

“Foothills has taught our children how to think critically, connect to the greater community, be thoughtful in their interactions with others, and confidently be themselves. Our kids love learning and are happy to go to school every day. What more could we ask for in a school?” ~5-6 & Jr. High Parent

Through a challenging inquiry-based curriculum, Foothills students explore their ideas and develop curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and confidence.

Foothills students learn how to think for themselves and problem-solve through inquiry (asking purposeful questions) and Project Based Learning or PBL (designing projects to solve real-world problems).

At the core of PBL units, student learning is focused on mastery of academic content and skill development. But perhaps more importantly, PBL projects lead to authentic, enjoyable learning experiences that stick with kids long after they're over, helping our students realize their own power as great thinkers.
