Tuition at Foothills covers 89% of the total cost of educating our students. Along with miscellaneous funds that cover 4%, the Annual Campaign and the Annual Auction cover the remaining 7%, which translates to roughly $910 per student. To help bridge the gap between tuition and total school expenses, the school participates in fundraising activities each year. There are several ways to financially support Foothills:
Direction donations are gratefully accepted at any time. Foothills is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, and donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed by the law. Many area employers, including HP, Wells Fargo and Micron, have matching programs that may increase a donation to the school. There are many options available to make a donation, including stock donations, planned gifts (i.e. making estate plans that include Foothills School), cash, check or credit cards. You can also make donations through our giving website: https://give.foothillsschool.org
Our Annual Campaign exemplifies a Culture of Giving within Foothills School and is also crucial to our overall fundraising efforts. Held each fall, we strive for a goal of 100% parent participation, at any level. Since tuition does not cover the full cost for educating each student we rely on funds generated through the Annual Campaign each year. Each donation is tax deductible and eligible for the Idaho Education Tax Credit, which doubles the amount you donate by giving money back on your Idaho State Taxes. Each spring, Foothills holds an Annual Auction and dinner, which is our most significant fundraising event of the year. Proceeds from the auction help fund financial aid, capital improvements and professional development.
In addition to financial support, Foothills also appreciates the gift of time from our families. We invite every family to get involved and participate in a meaningful volunteer activity that suits their available time and interests. There are many ways that parents and others can help support our school, from chaperoning trips to helping in the classroom to working on school-wide events such as our Annual Auction. Volunteering is also a wonderful way to get to know the school, your child's classmates, and other parents.
