An Independent, private PreK-9th Grade school in downtown Boise, Idaho.

It’s a gift to us as parents for a whole community to rise up and meet your child every day. Because of her time at Foothills, she will graduate with a deep sense that she is part of a large loving community, her ideas are valuable and what she does matters to the world. I can’t really imagine what more I could ask when she eventually heads to high school and beyond. -Foothills Parent

Need-Based Financial Assistance

Need-based financial assistance is available for qualifying families and families can apply for financial assistance as one of the first steps in our application process. Questions about financial assistance can be directed to our Business Director, Tina Mullins, who oversees the school's Financial Assistance Committee and is happy to answer questions and share information about how the financial assistance process works at Foothills.

Flexible Payment Plans

Families can pay tuition payments monthly over ten months. For families who do not pay all at once, the school requires Dewar's Insurance and a financing fee (both are included in the monthly tuition figures below).

Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit

Idaho recently passed House Bill 93 (HB93), the Idaho Parental Choice Tax Credit. The tax credit may provide a refundable tax credit up to $5,000 per eligible student (up to $7,500 for students with disabilities). The Idaho Tax Commission's page on HB93 is the primary source of information about this tax credit. Foothills has also put together a brief overview. Interested families may also contact Tina Mullins, Business Director, with any questions.

Fees

There is a one-time new student fee of $300. Spring trips in 1st through 8th grades require an additional fee ranging from $250-800 depending on the grade. The 9th grade international trip requires a fee that varies depending on the destination. Aftercare fees for EL/Preschool-6th Grades are $10 per hour billed in quarter-hour increments.

Why Choose a Tuition-Based Independent School?

Over 90% of Foothills School's income is from tuition. A tuition-based model allows us to maintain our independence. We make our own choices about our mission, values, program, and curriculum free from state and federal curricular mandates. The excellence of our program is assured through accreditation by NWAIS and Cognia, and we are a member of NAIS.
