Meet Our Administrative Team
Mary Dobroth: Mary joined Foothills as our first Assistant Head of School in 2022. For the ten years prior, Mary served as Academic Technology Coordinator, Director of Academic Technology, Assistant Academic Dean, and independent curriculum consultant for Holton-Arms School in Bethesda, MD. Prior to her most recent school, Mary was an engineering and technology education teacher in public schools for five years. Mary has lived in the Treasure Valley since early 2020, working remotely since that time. Mary holds a BA in Industrial Design, a graduate certificate in STEM education, and an MA in Curriculum and Instruction, all from Virginia Tech. Mary enjoys spending time adventuring with her husband and daughter and can often be found hiking, biking, or skiing depending on the season!
Katie McClay: Katie has over 26 years of experience in administrative roles. While Boise has always been her home base, she has had the opportunity to travel and live in many different parts of the country. Katie has two children who are both Foothills alumni; her son currently attends Boise High School, and her daughter is a graduate of the University of Idaho. In her free time, Katie enjoys photography and spending time in Idaho’s great outdoors. Whether she’s camping, fishing, attending concerts, or simply enjoying quality time with family and friends, she appreciates every opportunity to explore and experience all that Idaho has to offer.
Tina Mullins: Tina joined the Foothills administrative team as Business Director in 2019. She joined Foothills after fourteen years at WinCo Foods, where she was a Store Manager and oversaw operations and resources. Her experience in finance, human resources, and facilities oversight has been a great addition to Foothills. No stranger to Foothills, Tina also served the Foothills Parents' Association and helped as a substitute teacher prior to joining the staff. Tina has two boys who attend Foothills and particularly loves the music and math programs.
Justin Brune: Justin is Foothills School's Director of Educational Technology and has been an educator for nearly 30 years, including more than 20 years at Foothills. Over the past decade, he has led the school's technology initiatives, guiding the community through major shifts including remote learning, the evolving role of personal devices, and the integration of artificial intelligence in education. As both an educator and parent of two children growing up in today's digital world, Justin brings a balanced perspective to educational technology. He oversees the school's technology infrastructure and digital learning tools while teaching digital literacy, media literacy, and responsible technology use to help students thrive in an ever-changing digital landscape.
