Located in Boise, Idaho, Foothills School of Arts and Sciences is a Pre-K through Grade 9 independent day school. Since its founding in 1992, Foothills has been committed to providing a progressive learning environment that suits the developmental learning needs of children and adolescents. A project-based program integrated with visual and performing arts helps students develop independent perspectives, academic competencies, social-emotional skills, and a sense of civic responsibility. Annual trips take advantage of Boise’s location in the Intermountain West. Foothills places a high value on maintaining a collegial and collaborative atmosphere among employees. Assistant Head of School (new position)
We are also seeking candidates for Substitute Teacher, Early Care, After Care, and PE Assistant positions.
Foothills School has an open application process for qualified candidates for full- and part-time PreK to 9th Grade teaching positions as well as for administrative staff positions. The school seeks candidates with a strong commitment to Foothills' mission and values, collaborative team teaching, a particular interest in Project Based Learning, and a proven capacity to meet the social, emotional, and intellectual needs of students in a classroom setting.
- A Bachelor's Degree is required (with rare exceptions)
- A Master's Degree and direct classroom teaching experience is preferred
- Expertise and specialized training in specific subject disciplines and/or grade levels
- A diverse educational and experiential background is also preferred to offer the best potential for success in our unique teaching environment
